WHAt is grit?

Grit runs workshops, classes and retreats in brain-health + soul-resilience for kids, youth and adults in Vancouver, BC and recently in Toronto, ONT.

 

Our hope is that by giving ourselves a chance to drop in, we can rise-up to face the chaos of life with grace, humility and gratitude.

 

Mindfulness is the corner-stone in our heart-led + science based approach.

The amount of youth with mental health issues has sky-rocketed and anxiety is paramount.

Grit in Schools aims to give kids the tools they need to navigate the storm of too much pressure and too much content, by boosting their mental health. Our goal is to give these developing brains the pro-active boost they need to move through the hard stuff without spiralling into illness.

 

Through understanding the basics of neuroscience, mindfulness activities and real talks about all the things that can affect our mental health (friendships/relational aggression, identity, anxiety, stress, pressure, gender stereotypes, technology, compassion, empathy and privilege), we give kids the tools they need for self-regulation in a light-hearted workshop format.
